Cape Town is now one of the World Marathon Majors, and crossing that finish line under Table Mountain is something you'll remember for the rest of your life. Give your medal a frame that does it justice, with the race, the year and, if you like, your name and finish time written directly onto the mount.

Medal-only frames are ready to assemble at home. You don't need to send us your medal. We make your frame with the mount cut and lettered, and you slot your medal and ribbon in yourself when it arrives.

Every frame is made by hand in our workshop in Sandymount, Dublin 4. Our Valiani computerised mount cutter cuts the medal opening and writes your lettering onto the mount.

Phoenix Framers is an independent framing studio and is not connected with the organisers of Cape Town Marathon. Event names are used only to describe the medal being framed.

    Add your details

    Your name, finish time and race year. We confirm the wording with you before anything is cut.

    Get your medal to us

    Drop it into the studio in Sandymount, or post it and we'll send you the details.

  4. 04

    We frame it

    We cut the mount around your medal, frame it and let you know when it's ready to collect.

Cape Town Marathon medal frames: your questions

Do I need to send you my Cape Town Marathon medal?

Yes. We frame your own medal, ribbon and bib, so the finished piece is the real thing. Drop them into our studio at 3A Seafort Avenue, Sandymount, or choose 'Post it to us' and we'll email you how to send them safely.

Can you frame a Cape Town Marathon medal from another year?

Yes. Choose 'Another year' in the Race year list and type the year, and we'll match the lettering on the mount. If you're not sure your medal will fit the layout, send us a photo and we'll advise.

Can I add my race bib and a photo?

Yes. Choose 'Medal + bib' or 'Medal, bib + photo'. Bring your bib in with the medal. For the photo, bring a print or email us the file and we'll check it before framing.

What is written on the mount?

Your name, finish time, the race and the year, written directly onto the mount by our Valiani mount cutter. Leave the name and time blank if you'd prefer just the race and year. We confirm the wording with you before cutting.

How long does it take?

We'll confirm a ready date when your medal arrives at the studio, and let you know as soon as it's ready to collect.
