Wedding photo’s framed using moulded silver leaf frame

Our client wanted a frame that was as special and unique as their big day. They emailed their photo to us. We decided to go for black and white. We sent it to our trusted printer who used archival paper and inks. Once we received it we drymounted it to prevent buckling. We used a black linen mount. We used museum glass to reduce glare and protect it from harmful UV rays. The frame is a moulded compo frame. Gesso was applied to seal and give use a smooth surface. When the gessod was sanded to smooth surface black bole as applied as the base and highlight colour. Once dry and burnished we gilded genuine silve leaf to the moulded part of the frame. We left the inside and outside black to give the frame balance.
